Multi-drop mode can be disabled by assigning the pump an address 0. To do this, send
the following command (where dd denotes the multi-drop address of the pump and xx
denotes the address of the node that is sending the command):

Once multi-drop mode is disabled, the pump will no longer respond to multi-drop
commands.
6.9 Auto run
The auto run setting configures the pump to start at power-up without any customer
intervention. This parameter is customer configurable via serial communications or using
the START / STOP buttons.
1.
Hold down either the START or STOP button for more than eight seconds to enable
or disable the auto run setting. The status of the auto run setting is visible via the
auto run LED.
2.
Stop the pump using either manual, parallel or serial control modes whilst in auto
run.
6.10 Operation with a valve
The valve output is pre-configured to control an inlet valve according to the status and
speed of the pump.
1.
The valve output is energised, to open an inlet valve, once the pump reaches its
normal speed.
2.
The valve output is de-energised, to close an inlet valve, when loss of mains power
is detected, the pump receives any stop command or a fail condition becomes
active (triggering the alarm indicator LED).
6.11 Use of the mode selector and gas ballast control
Use the mode selector and the gas ballast control to optimise the performance of the
pump for the application.
The performance characteristics of the pump with the different control settings are
shown in
Table: High vacuum mode performance data on page 20
throughput mode performance data on page 20
. The position of both the mode selector
and the gas ballast control can be changed when the pump is off or when the pump is
operating.
