Hi-Speed USB mode switch
Use this to specify whether you’re using the UA-101 in Hi-Speed USB mode (USB
2.0, 480 Mbps) or in Full-Speed USB mode (USB 1.1, 12 Mbps).
* When you change the setting of the Hi-Speed USB mode switch, you
’
ll need to cycle
the power to the UA-101 to put the new setting into effect.

Hi-Speed USB mode (USB2.0, 480 Mbps)
Turn the Hi-Speed USB mode switch ON if you’ve connected the UA-
101 to a USB 2.0 compliant USB connector.
You’ll be able to use the UA-101’s full range of functionality; 10 INs
(input) and 10 OUTs (output).
* If the UA-101 is correctly recognized by your computer in Hi-Speed USB mode, the
USB indicator will be lit red. If it is blinking, the UA-101 has not been correctly
recognized, either because your computer does support USB 2.0, or for some other
reason.
* Hi-Speed USB mode can be used only with Windows XP.

Full-Speed USB mode (USB1.1, 12 Mbps)
Turn the Hi-Speed USB mode switch OFF if you’ve connected the UA-
101 to a USB 1.1 compliant USB connector. You’ll be able to record and
play back using 2 INs (input) and 2 OUTs (output).
* If the UA-101 is correctly recognized by your computer in Full-Speed USB mode, the
USB indicator will be lit green. If it is blinking, the UA-101 has not been correctly
recognized.

• Only sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz can be used.
If the sample rate select switch is set to any position other than 44.1 kHz or 48
kHz, the
USB indicator (17)
will blink, and the UA-101 will not operate.
