Creating Titles

You use the Crawl feature when you want to create text that flows from right to left,

like text news flashes and the ending credits for some television programs.

Select the title type.

For the title type, choose "Crawling Title." In the Titler window, click "Mode" to

display the mode menu. Two types of crawling titles are available. Click to select the

type you want.

For information on how to create rolling titles, refer to page 198.

When you change a crawling title you have created to a different type of crawling or rolling

title by clicking "Mode," the entered text may not appear at the intended location, or may not

be displayed at all.

Create text and shapes.

Follow the procedure for "Creating Text" (

p. 138

), "Drawing Shapes" (

) to place the text, shapes, pictures, or other items in the

editing window.

Embellish as needed (

p. 154

Using the Text Editor (

p. 202

) can be convenient when you're entering a large amount of

text.

Save.

Click the "Overwrite Save" button (

p. 136

) or the "Save As" button (

p. 137

) to save the

title. Then click the "Close" button. The Titler disappears and the Preview window

returns.
