I. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the SE847 Secure by EDGE! This product uses government grade 256-
bit AES hardware encryption to protect data from unauthorized access. It is mandatory that
100% of data stored on the SE847 Secure be encrypted – there is no option to store
unencrypted data on the device.
A personal PIN is required to be entered using the SE847 Secure’s built-in keypad in order to
use the device. Without this PIN, it is impossible to access or store files. This guide illustrates

Red Indicator

Flashing: The drive is locked/encrypted or the PIN has been entered incorrectly
Green Indicator

Solid: The drive is unlocked/unencrypted
2.
Flashing: The drive is on battery power and locked/encrypted
