This command enables Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR) globally on the
switch. Use the
no
form of this command to globally disable MVR.

Only IGMP version 2 or 3 hosts can issue multicast join or leave messages.
If MVR must be configured for an IGMP version 1 host, the multicast
groups must be statically assigned using the
command.

XAMPLE
The following example enables MVR globally.

mvr group
This command statically configures MVR multicast group IP address(es).
Use the
no
form of this command to remove a specific address or range of
addresses.

- Defines a multicast service sent to all attached subscribers.
ip-address
- IP address for an MVR multicast group.
(Range: 224.0.1.0 - 239.255.255.255)
count
- The number of contiguous MVR group addresses.
(Range: 1-255)

Use this command to statically configure all multicast group addresses
that will join the MVR VLAN. Any multicast data associated an MVR
group is sent from all source ports to all receiver ports that have
registered to receive data from that multicast group.
