spanning-tree priority
This command configures the spanning tree priority globally for this switch. Use
the
no form to restore the default.
Syntax
spanning-tree priority priority
no spanning-tree priority
priority - Priority of the bridge. (Range – 0-61440, in steps of 4096; Options:
0, 4096, 8192, 12288, 16384, 20480, 24576, 28672, 32768, 36864, 40960,
45056, 49152, 53248, 57344, 61440)

Command Usage
Bridge priority is used in selecting the root device, root port, and designated port.
The device with the highest priority (i.e., lower numeric value) becomes the STA
root device. However, if all devices have the same priority, the device with the
lowest MAC address will then become the root device.
Example
Console(config)#spanning-tree priority 40000

spanning-tree mst
configuration
This command changes to Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) configuration mode.
Syntax
spanning-tree mst configuration
Default Setting
No VLANs are mapped to any MST instance.
The region name is set the switch’s MAC address.
