LYNCS-WI Operation 

 

 

 
 

1.

 

Select the amount of toolposts to match the number of wedges / probes being deployed. 

2.

 

Remove one tractor assembly. 

3.

 

Slide on any cable management guides required. 

4.

 

Arrange tractor units and affix toolposts depending on required application. 

5.

 

If mounting pins required, select the appropriate and screw on to toolpost arms. 

6.

 

Load probe mounted wedges to scanner. 

7.

 

Insert encoder cable and attach strain relief to strain relief point. 

8.

 

Attach cable management sleeve to strain relief points. 

9.

 

Set toolpost in desired position along rail and lock into place. If utilising outer toolposts do not set 
for pipe diameter until on the test item. 

10.

 

Tether scanner from both handles. 

11.

 

Setup  data  acquisition  unit 

  for  M2M  instruments  select  LYNCS-WI  in  scanner  list  NOTE:  Typical 

encoder resolution: 25.85 pts/mm. 

12.

 

Perform encoder calibration and complete remaining setup configuration. 

13.

 

Place onto test item to perform scan. 

 

If using M2M instrument, when setup is complete, press the 

Play

 button immediately followed by the 

Pause

 

button. Scanner is now ready to make use of the on-board control Pause /

 Resume
