English Idioms
Here you can find over 200 widely used idioms with their equivalents or
translations. The idioms are listed in alphabetical order.

Tap the
English Idioms
icon from the
Dictionary
tab to launch the application.

Set the desired source language by tapping
.
•
Search the idioms by typing or by scrolling the list.
•
Use
to change font size (see page 19).
•
Tap the desired idiom to see its equivalent(s) or translation(s).
•
Use

to go the previous or next entry respectively.
To obtain a translation of the desired word:
•
Tap on the word to select it.
•
Tap
to obtain the reverse translation.

Tap to close the
Dictionary
window and return to

To listen to the pronunciation of an idiom:

Open the desired entry.
