8.1
Changing the application tip
The application tip must remain on the metering valve at all times.
When changing the tip, hold the applicator head
with the tip facing up
, pull the tip off and
replace with a new tip.
The new tip should then be filled by the transmission of short pulses to the unit.
8.2
Cleaning of the spray head
It may necessary after prolonged periods of operation (or, also, of non operation) to clean
adhering product off of the spray head. This should be performed manually, using a rag
and suitable cleaning agent.
8.3
Product topping up
The MULTILINE 1000 S metering unit is equipped with an
‘Empty’
signaling system and a
Standby signaling system in order to eliminate the possibility of problems with the
metering unit caused by bubbles of air in the piping system.
A signal indicating that the product must be topped up is generated when a critical
minimum level in the pressure vessel is reached, provided a vessel from the Ecolab
product range is used.
8.4
Increases in product viscosity
Should the metering medium start to thicken, even though the unit is being used properly,
the applicator head is to be freed from polymerised glue by continuously applying and
increasing the static pressure.
CAUTION!
Do not remove the applicator head under any circumstances.
