7.
FIRMWARE UPDATE
There are
three different elements
that
can require firmware updating
:
•
Base unit:
o
VEO-SWC44
•
Wireless transmitters:
o
VEO-SWC44TH
o
VEO-SWC44TU
All
software is stored in VEO-SWC44 base unit
and later transferred to the rest of
the elements.
After updating the VEO-SWC44 base unit, it is necessary to check
whether the other parts need to be updated as well.
7.1
Upgrading Firmware version of VEO-SWC44
•
External USB storage drive:
1.
Copy
the updating file “
update.img
”
to the root directory
of the USB drive.
2.
Connect the USB drive
to either USB 2.0 front port of VEO-SWC44 base unit.
3.
VEO-
SWC44 recognizes the “update.img”
-file at the plugged-in USB stick
automatically and
starts the “Full Update” procedure
. USB stick can be
plugged out within 10 seconds to stop the update.
Do not disconnect power during upgrading progress
. Otherwise, the unit
firmware will be corrupted.
4.
The
upgrading progress displays
as
shown, and the VEO-SWC44 will reboot
automatically after completing the
updating.
During the update, screen can be temporary dark
.
If the progress bar stops at 1%, use another USB stick, since this one
may be defective
.
5.
The display device shows the Home Screen after normal boot of the device, you
can disconnect USB stick.
6.
Perform “Factory Reset”
when the
firmware update is completed.
