Universal Counter
The universal counter is a special counter to count objects that move in front of the print
head. The counter is timed by a standard photo detector. The universal counter consists of
two elements:

a main counter
,
•
an auxiliary counter
.
The
main counter
is always printed, while the
auxiliary counter
either can or cannot be
printed.
The
main counter
setting changes only when the
auxiliary counter
has been
overflowed.
Therefore, when you edit a subfile that is to be a universal counter of objects, the subfile
should contain the following:
For the main counter and printable auxiliary counter - two numbers (groups of digits) with
as many digits as may be needed to cover the user-defined range. The groups must be
separated with a separator that is different from digits or space. The first group is
designed for the main counter, the second for the auxiliary counter.
For the main counter and unprintable auxiliary counter – a number (a group of digits) with
as many digits as may be needed to cover the user-defined range. The group is designed
for the main counter, whereas the setting of the auxiliary (unprintable) counter is defined
by the
Cnt.value2
parameter – see below.
The operation of two counters is determined by universal counter parameters. To access the
parameters start the word processor and follow the procedure below:

Position the cursor on the subfile that is a special register and press the
