8. Storage and maintenance
1. Disengaging the engine
The engine can be disengaged from the gearbox via a manual switch. This makes it possible to push in
neutral without engine braking (fig. 16).
2. Storage
The electric wheelbarrow with charger must be kept in a dry place for storage.
Storage temperature: min. + 5°C, max. +30°C, max. 50% humidity.
Please note that storage outside the specified parameters may result in increased wear on the battery and
the electronic components.
3. Battery
The battery should be charged every 6-8 weeks even when not in use to avoid deep discharge.
4. Adjusting the brake
To adjust the brake, loosen the lock nut and then unscrew the clamping ring with the Bowden cable (fig.
17). The Bowden cable is tensioned by unscrewing it. Then turn the lock nut back against the handle to
secure the clamping ring. Check the function of the brake regularly.
5. Automatic switch-off
The electric wheelbarrow has a thermal circuit breaker to protect against overloading. This switches off the
electrics as soon as there is a risk of overloading due to too heavy a weight or driving on too steep a slope.
If the electric wheelbarrow is switched on, it is automatically switched off after 20 minutes of non-use. To
drive the electric wheelbarrow, it must be switched on as described above.
