Channel Button
This button displays the
Channel>Overview
screen, which is used for both input and output channels. The
analog input channels 1-48 have the most comprehensive version of this screen. Other input and output
channel types have variations of this screen, but the general layout is always the same, making finding the
different parts consistent. In the descriptions for each type of channel, references to identical sections in the
Analog Input Channel will be made, while new screens will be described when they are first presented.
The figure on the previous page shows the components of a typical Overview screen and its tabs. Depending on
the channel being viewed, the secondary tabs and resulting screens are somewhat different because different
types of channels have different controls. Analog Input Channels 1-48 have the following set of secondary tabs.
Overview — Overview of the selected channel parameters 12.2.4
Delay — Channel alignment delay
12.2.5
EQ — Channel four-band EQ and HPF/LPF related parameters 12.2.6
Dynamics — Channel Expander/Gate and Compressor
12.2.7
Aux/Grps — Aux, Group, and Effects sends for the channel 12.2.8
Inserts — Channel Digital Insert assignment
12.2.9
In addition, each Overview screen has the following common display and buttons:
Current Channel Display — The selected channel’s name
Access other channels here
12.2.1
Link — Stereo link two adjacent odd/even channels
12.2.2
Edit — Options for editing the current screen
These options vary with the screen

Current Channel Display
This display identifies the current channel. Touching it reveals the
Channel Select
screen allowing direct naviga-
tion to any input or output channel on the console. Narrow your selection by touching a button under the Bank
Select column to choose a group of channels. Then, touch the
SELECT
button over the channel name you wish to
select. The
Channel Select
pop-up screen disappears and you can begin editing the newly selected channel.
When implemented we
will need a screen
shot and general
description of how it
works.
You aren’t consistent with this
terminology. Is the word
“secondary” there or not.
