Connection of plastic-insulated cables up

Cu by means of dry cable boxes
General
Plastic-insulated cables can be connected to load-break switch
or circuit-breaker panels up to 12 kV and to load-break
switch/fuse panels up to 12 kV.
Load-break switch and circuit-breaker panels are equipped with
a terminal block with locked cable entry ports. The terminal block
has three connection pins moulded into the cast resin insulation.
On load-break switch/fuse panels, the 12 kV connection pins are
directly below the fuse holders.

The termination of the cable cores and the
splitting point must comply with the cable
manufacturer's instructions.
If the diameter of the guide cones in fitted condition is less than
or equal to
46 mm, they fit in the cable box as shown in
figure 1A.
If the diameter of the guide cones in fitted condition is greater
than
not
fit in the cable box and must be
fitted underneath it as shown in figure 1B.
In that case, the protection cover must be fitted to ensure that
the part above the guide cones is also insulated.
Figure 1C shows a situation in which a cable termination is used
without a guide cone. This situation arises, for example, with
cables supplied by Eaton.
