3 Installation
The system installation must be performed by an installer or field technician authorized
by Eaton
Eaton iCube 2.0 installation diagram is as follows (marked “*” applicable to Row cabinets system and split
cooling system)

3.1 Joining the cabinets
Eaton iCube 2.0 cabinets are easy to combine. The main steps applicable to row (multiple) cabinets
are as follows:
•
Remove the side panel of the main equipment cabinet and side panel of IT cabinets
•
Remove the side panel fixing screws and side panel fixing accessories.
•
Loosen the sliding bolt screws of the side panel and slide them to prevent them from jamming the
cabinet body;
•
Remove the ground cable between the side panel and the cabinet body
•
Lift up the side plate and remove it by moving it.
•
Joining the cabinets
•
Place the main cabinet and sub cabinets in order according to the number marked on the lower right of the
front door of the cabinet.
•
Secure and fix adjacent cabinets with cabinet screws and rivets (6 pcs per each adjacent cabinet).
•
Connect the ground wire pairs of two adjacent cabinets
•
Install the top cable tray
•
Install the side door, removed in step 1, on the end cabinet
