3.1 Prerequisites for the location of use

Do not block the ventilation openings when mounting the easy-RTD:
They are designed to allow air to circulate in order to cool the device.

The easy-RTD uses natural convection-based passive cooling, i.e., it does not use
fans.

Make sure that there will be enough volume for air changes inside the control
cabinet, etc.
The specified clearance around the easy-RTD is: a, b, c ≧ 30 mm (1.18")

If you will be installing the easy-RTD in complex systems together with other
assemblies, you must ensure that there will be enough air circulation in order to
prevent overheating.
Ambient temperature with natural convection: ϑ: 0°C (32°F) ≦ T ≦ 50°C (122°F)
The panel builder is responsible for the temperature rise calculation.
Eaton will provide heat dissipation data as necessary for design verification in
conformity with IEC EN 61439 – please refer to the
