5.5 Access to cyclic process data

In this example, “Standard Telegram 1” (PROFIdrive) is selected for cyclic 
communication between the PLC and the variable frequency drive.

The PLC sends the control word and the speed setpoint to the variable 
frequency drive using the SINA_SPEED function block.
The variable frequency drive then sends the status word and the actual value 
(frequency) back to the PLC. Control and status data are thereby processed 
as per the PROFIdrive profile.

The following data exchange takes place in this example:

5.6 Access to acyclic process data

In this example, function block FB 286 is used to read or change the parame-
ters.
