8 Licensing
BreakerVisu also has the following optional features, which require license
points in order to be activated:
•
Gateway functionality via Modbus/TCP and OPC servers
•
Support for up to four 3rd party devices
As soon as you have a license certificate (
certificate”, page 86), the device‘s serial number, and an e-mail address, you
can validate the license by tapping

There are two different licenses available for activating these features:
•
LIC-OPT-1ST-LEVEL (40 points; article no. 140391): Can be used to
activate
one
of the two optional features listed above
•
LIC-OPT-2ND-LEVEL (80 points; article no. 140392): Can be used to
activate
both
of the optional features listed above
As soon as you have a license certificate (
certificate”, page 86), the device‘s serial number, and an e-mail address, you
can validate the license by tapping “Start licensing” at the following Internet
address:
www.eaton-automation.com/license
You can find the serial number on the nameplate at the back of the
BreakerVisu device. To access the
License Administrator
dialog box, tap
the
Add more points
button in the
Extras
for the 3.5“ variant):

To change the information for a validated license, tap the
Change License
button. After you enter the corresponding information successfully, the
number of available license points will be increased accordingly.
