Full System Initialization
Once the burner system, MFD, Fan, PDS, and ADC100 have been wired correctly, a full system check is required.
1.
Place the ADC100 ON/OFF switch in the “ON” position.
2.
Verify if possible, the fan and MFD has been activated.
3.
Once draft is proven by the PDS, the ADC100 sends a signal to burner control module to allow for burner operation.
4.
If the burner battery holder pack is in “ON” position, the burner pilot will be begin sparking immediately when draft
is proven on ADC100
5.
If the burner battery holder switch pack is in “Remote” position, the burner pilot will only begin sparking when the
“ON” key on the remote transmitter is initiated.
a.
The remote transmitter will not initiate the ADC100, fan, or MFD. Its main function is to control flame height.
6.
The initial pilot ignition might take several cycles to purge out all the air in pilot tube.
7.
Once the pilot is ignited, the main burner valve will turn on within 7 seconds.
8.
The burner should ignite, and the flames should travel along the length of the burner.
9.
Initially, the flames will have a bluish appearance and will gradually become more yellow as appliance heats up.
10.
After a few minutes, shut off burner and de-energize full system, allow the burner to cool to the touch.
11.
Glass media can be spread evenly across the entire the length burner.
DO NOT
leave excessive amounts of media
directly on top of burner ports.
DO NOT
obstruct pilot assembly with glass media.
12.
Re-energize system by following steps 2-6.
13.
Observe flame pattern. The fan speed control can be adjusted to minimize erratic flame patterns. The fan speed
control voltage shall not be less than 90 VAC as measured with voltage meter at junction nearest fan.
NOTE:
The fan speed control should only be used for initialization set up and should only be altered by
qualified professional.
15.
Once a satisfactory flame appearance has been achieved, system is complete.
