Disconnecting compaction plates

The operator and instructing person must be able to
maintain good contact and a safe distance from the
machine and compaction plates.
Set the plates down on the ground, release and loosen
the screws that pre-tension/remove play in the
suspension device.

Screws must released so that the plate assembly rests
on lugs when it is raised again. This enables the
locking bar to be pulled out.
Loosen the locking pin on the locking bar.
With the help of a second person behind the machine,
raise it incrementally so that the lifting arms rest on the
fixed lugs and the locking pin can be pulled out freely.

With the plates in the rear position, offset them about
500 mm until the arrows on the stickers align.
This ensures clearance between the lifting arms and
the hydraulic components of the plates.

Position a pallet directly under the plates.
The height of the pallet should be between 10 and
20 cm and cover the underside of all three plates.
Two standard pallets/Euro pallets work in an
emergency.
The offset adjustment equipment’s transverse beam is
supported with a wooden beam or blocks so that the
beam is lifted approx. 70–100 mm above the top of the
pallets.
Then lower the plates until they rest entirely on the
pallet.
