Areas particularly susceptible to soiling:
• Cutter on the winder for the hook thread (4)
• Area under the throat plate (3)
• Hook (2)
• Area around the needle (1)
To clean the machine:
1.
Remove any lint and thread remnants using a compressed air gun or
a brush.
15.2 Lubricating
The machine is equipped with a central oil-wick lubrication system.
The bearings are supplied from the oil reservoir.
For topping off the oil reservoir, use only lubricating oil
DA 10
or oil of
equivalent quality with the following specifications:
• Viscosity at 40 °C: 10 mm²/s
• Flash point: 150 °C
CAUTION
Risk of injury from contact with oil!
Oil can cause a rash if it comes into contact with
skin.
Avoid skin contact with oil.
If oil has come into contact with your skin, wash the
affected areas thoroughly.
NOTICE
Property damage from incorrect oil!
Incorrect oil types can result in damage to the machine.
Only use oil that complies with the data in the instructions.
CAUTION
Risk of environmental damage from oil!
Oil is a pollutant and must not enter the sewage
system or the soil.
Carefully collect up used oil.
Dispose of used oil and oily machine parts in
accordance with national regulations.
