5.1

Checking the machine zero point

The machine zero point is factory-set to the correct value.

To check the machine zero point:

The machine moves to the center position. The needle is positioned 
within the center point bore (2), and the tip of the needle can be low-
ered into the bore by turning the arm shaft crank.

The machine moves to the test position. The center of the needle is 
positioned within the test bore (3), and the tip of the needle can be 
lowered into the bore by turning the arm shaft crank.
