On a clean flat surface lay the 72” tubes side by side with the holes lined up.  Insert the two          

#8  3½” bolts through all five tubes with a washer placed in between the bolt and the tubes.  Place 

a second washer over the opposite end of the bolt and fasten the locking nut snug up against the 

tubes.

Take the 7/8 x 1 ½ x 25” bottom cross rail; (with the pilot holes facing up and holes closest 

together toward fan base); insert the tubes into routed holes and slide the cross rail down until the 
bottom of the cross rail is 32" above the bottom of the trellis.  Fasten the cross rail into place with 

screws and snap screw caps over screw heads.  

Take the 7/8 x 1 ½ x 25” bottom cross rail; (with the pilot holes facing up and holes closest 

together toward fan base); insert the tubes into routed holes and slide the cross rail down until the 
bottom of the cross rail is 32" above the bottom of the trellis.  Fasten the cross rail into place with 

screws and snap screw caps over screw heads.  

  
Next slide the 7/8 x 1 ½ x 54” top cross rail; (with pilot holes facing up and the holes closest 

together toward fan base); over the tubes.  Slide the top cross rail down until the distance between 

the bottom cross rail and the top cross rail measures 24”.  Fasten with screws and snap screw caps 

over screw heads. 

Next slide the 7/8 x 1 ½ x 54” top cross rail; (with pilot holes facing up and the holes closest 

together toward fan base); over the tubes.  Slide the top cross rail down until the distance between 

the bottom cross rail and the top cross rail measures 24”.  Fasten with screws and snap screw caps 

over screw heads. 
  

Snap the 5/8” round end caps onto the tube tops (you may need to warm them slightly in your 

hand or in warm water to make them easier to apply).  Slide the 7/8 x 1 ½ molded end caps onto 
the ends of the cross rails.  Household glue may be used if molded end caps are slightly loose.

To install push the trellis 12” into the ground.  If soil is extremely hard, loosen soil or soak with 

water before installing trellis.
