18-2. When the Error Message “PAPER JAM” is Displayed at the LCD
When paper jamming occurs, “PAPER JAM” will be displayed in the first line of the LCD of the
control panel, and the area of the jam will be displayed in the second line.
“Feed”
: Entrance of the paper feed section
“Conveyance” : Between the entrance of the paper feed section and paper ejection section
“Eject”
: Paper ejection section
“Turn”
: Reversal section
“DBM-120”
: Inside the DBM-120 Sheet by Sheet (Stapler folder)
“DBM-120T” : Inside the DBM-120T (Trimmer)
At this time, turning the jog dial displays the jam code.

Codes for locating further details of the paper jam which occurred.
“J1”
: Paper jammed or double-feeding occurred at the double-feed sensor of the paper feeder A
(Check the entrance of the paper feeder A and the inside of the upper door.)
“J2”
: Paper jammed or double-feeding occurred at the double-feed sensor of the paper feeder B
(Check the entrance of the paper feeder B and the inside of the lower door.)
“J3”
: Paper jammed between the paper feeder A and paper ejection switch
(Check the inside of the upper door and the bridge door.)
“J4”
: Paper jammed between the paper feeder B and paper ejection switch
(Check the inside of the lower door and the bridge door.)
“J5”
: Paper remaining at the paper ejection switch
(Check the inside of the bridge door and the entrance of the downstream processing unit.)
“J6”
: Paper jammed between the paper feeder A and reversal sensor during reversal
(Check the inside of the upper door.)
“J7”
: Paper remaining at the reversal sensor (from entrance to exit)

“J8”
: Paper remaining at the reversal sensor (from exit to, re-entrance, to exit)
