Regolazione cavi di
comando acceleratore
Importante
Operando sui cavi di comando
acceleratore di apertura e chiusura si
può compromettere la registrazione
del corpo farfallato (Sez. D 5).
Rimuovere il fianchetto destro come
descritto alla Sezione E 1.
La manopola di comando
dell’acceleratore in tutte le posizioni
di sterzata deve avere una corsa a
vuoto, misurata sulla periferia del
bordino della manopola, di
1,5÷2 mm.
Per regolare la corsa della manopola
comando acceleratore è necessario
sfilare i cappucci in gomma (A) ed i
tappini (B) dalle rispettive sedi.
Allentare i controdadi (1), ricordando
che quello in basso determina
l'apertura delle farfalle mentre
quello in alto la chiusura, e agire
sul registro (2) per stabilire il gioco
prescritto.
Serrare entrambi i controdadi (1) e
calzare i cappucci (A) ed i tappini (B)
sui registri (2).
Periodicamente è necessario
controllare la condizione delle guaine
esterne dei cavi di comando apertura
e chiusura. Non devono presentare
schiacciamenti o screpolature nel
ricoprimento plastico esterno.
Per mantenere la scorrevolezza dei
comandi lubrificare periodicamente
l'estremità del cavo di ogni
trasmissione flessibile con grasso
prescritto.
Verificare, agendo sul comando,
il funzionamento scorrevole del cavo
interno: se si manifestano attriti o
impuntamenti sostituirlo.
Per lubrificare il comando acceleratore
è necessario sfilare leggermente
il cappuccio in gomma (C), svitare
le viti (3) ed aprire il comando
acceleratore (4).
Ingrassare l’estremità del cavo e la
carrucola.
Richiudere con molta attenzione
il comando (4) inserendo il cavo nei
due semigusci che lo compongono.
Serrare le viti (3) alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Riposizionare il cappuccio in
gomma (C) nella sede.
Adjusting the throttle
cables
Important
Any adjustment of the opening
and closing throttle cables may affect
throttle body settings (Sect. D 5).
Remove the right-hand fairing side
panel (Sect. E 1).
The throttle cable should have
freeplay of
1.5 to 2 mm (measured
in terms of rotation of the twistgrip)
in all steering positions.
To adjust the cable freeplay, remove
the rubber caps (A) and plugs (B) from
their seats.
Slacken the locknuts (1), bearing in
mind the lower adjuster alters throttle
opening and the upper adjuster alters
throttle closing. Turn the adjuster (2)
to obtain the specified freeplay.
Tighten both locknuts (1) and refit
the caps (A) and the plugs (B) on the
adjusters (2).
The condition of the outer cables
should be checked at regular intervals.
The plastic covering should show no
signs of pinching or cracking.
Lubricate the ends of the throttle
control cables with the prescribed
grease periodically to ensure they
run freely.
Operate the throttle to make sure
the inner cable slides smoothly inside
the outer cable. If you feel excessive
resistance or stiffness, renew the
cable.
To lubricate the throttle, peel back the
rubber (C), undo the screws (3) and
remove the upper half of the twistgrip
housing (4).
Grease the end of the cable and the
race.
Replace the upper half of the
twistgrip housing (4) with care,
making sure the cable is correctly
routed.
Tighten the bolts (3) to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3).
Replace the rubber (C).
