Headlight aim
The motorcycle must be perfectly
upright with the tyres inflated to the
correct pressure and with a rider
seated.
Position the motorcycle 10 metres
from a wall or flat surface.
On the wall or surface, draw a
horizontal line at the same height
from the ground as the centre of the
headlight and a vertical line aligned
with the longitudinal axis of the
motorcycle.
Notes
If possible, perform this check
in conditions of low ambient light.
Switch on the low beam. The height
of the upper limit between the dark
area and the lit area must not be more
than nine tenths of the height of the
centre of the headlight from the
ground.
Notes
This procedure is the one
specified by Italian regulations for
checking the maximum height of
light beams.
Adjustment of headlight vertical
orientation is performed by means
of adjuster screw (1).
Orientamento del
proiettore
Mettere il motociclo, con i pneumatici
gonfiati alla giusta pressione e con
una persona seduta in sella,
perfettamente perpendicolare con
il suo asse longitudinale.
Posizionare il motociclo di fronte ad
una parete o ad uno schermo,
distante da esso 10 metri.
Tracciare una linea orizzontale
corrispondente all’altezza del centro
del fanale e una verticale in linea con
l’asse longitudinale del veicolo.
Note
Effettuate il controllo
possibilmente nella penombra.
Accendendo la luce anabbagliante il
limite superiore di demarcazione tra la
zona oscura e la zona illuminata deve
risultare ad un’altezza non superiore a
9/10 dell’altezza da terra del centro
del proiettore.
Note
La procedura descritta è quella
stabilita dalla “Normativa Italiana” per
quanto concerne l’altezza massima
del fascio luminoso.
La rettifica dell’orientamento verticale
del proiettore si può effettuare
agendo sulle viti di regolazione (1).
