cannotto di sterzo
Note
Tutti i componenti che sono
fissati sulla testa e sulla base di
sterzo, compreso i cavi elettrici e
le trasmissioni flessibili, possono
rimanere montati a condizione che
non vadano a interferire con le
operazioni da eseguire.
Per rimuovere la testa di sterzo
allentare la vite (1) di bloccaggio del
perno di sterzo.
Sfilare la testa di sterzo (2).
Con una comune chiave per ghiere,
svitare la ghiera (4) dal perno di
sterzo.
Sfilare dal perno di sterzo l'anello di
tenuta (7), l'anello interno (D) e la
corona di sfere (E) del cuscinetto (5)
superiore.
Sfilare dal tubo del telaio la base di
sterzo (9) completa di perno.
Sfilare la corona di sfere (B) del
cuscinetto inferiore (6).
Sul perno rimarrà posizionato l'anello
interno (D) del cuscinetto inferiore (6)
e il relativo anello di tenuta (8).
Utilizzare un estrattore universale
(del tipo raffigurato) per rimuovere
l'anello interno (D), l'anello di tenuta (8)
e la rosetta (3) dal perno di sterzo,
facendo molta attenzione a non
rovinare la sede.
Importante
Gli anelli di tenuta (7) e (8) e
i cuscinetti (5) e (6) rimossi non vanno
più rimontati.

Removing the steering
head components
Notes
All parts fitted to the top and
bottom yokes, wires and control
cables included, can remain on
motorcycle provided they do not
hinder the following operations.
To remove the top yoke, loosen the
steering stem clamp bolt (1).
Remove the top yoke (2).
Using an ordinary ringnut wrench,
unscrew the steering stem nut (4).
Remove the seal (7), inner race (D)
and the ball race (E) of the upper
bearing (5) from the steering stem.
Remove the bottom yoke (9)
complete with the steering stem
from the frame tube.
Remove the ball race (B) of the
lower bearing (6).
The inner race (D) of the lower
bearing (6) and the relative seal (8)
will remain on the steering stem.
Using a universal puller of the type
shown, remove the inner race (D),
the seal (8) and the washer (3) from
the steering stem, taking care not to
damage the bearing seat.
Important
Once disturbed, the seals (7)
and (8) and the bearings (5) and (6)
must not be refitted.
