Registrazione gioco
cuscinetti di sterzo
Note
Per la registrazione del gioco
dei cuscinetti di sterzo seguire quanto
riportato al capitolo D 4.
Qualora non si risolvessero i problemi
riscontrati, verificare lo stato d’usura
dei cuscinetti di sterzo (5) e (6)
eventualmente sostituirli come
riportato al paragrafo “Smontaggio
componenti cannotto di sterzo” di
questa sezione.
Registrazione sterzata
Allentare i dadi (12).
Allentare i grani (11) di registrazione
su entrambi i lati della base di sterzo.
Munirsi di uno spessore calibrato (A),
inserito sul fodero della forcella, di
6÷6,5 mm, oppure usare un calibro.
Sterzare il gruppo forcella verso
destra fino a portare a contatto lo
spessore (A), con il tubo superiore del
telaio.
Portare il grano (11) di registrazione
opposto al lato della sterzata, a
contatto con il fermo sul cannotto di
sterzo.
Applicare frenafiletti sulla filettatura
dado (12).
Mantenendo fermo il grano (11),
bloccare il dado (12).
Ruotare il gruppo forcella verso il lato
opposto: registrare allo stesso modo
l’altro grano e bloccare il relativo
dado.
Adjusting steering
bearing play
Note
See Section D 4 for steering
bearing play adjustment.
If the problem persists, inspect the
steering bearings (5) and (6) for wear
and replace as required. The
replacement procedure is detailed in
paragraph "Disassembling the
steering tube components" in this
Section.
Adjusting the steering
angle
Loosen the nuts (12).
Loosen the adjusting grub screws
(11) on both sides of the bottom yoke.
Insert a
6-6.5 mm calibrated feeler
gauge (A) on the fork sleeve, or use a
gauge.
Turn the front fork assembly to the
right until the shim (A) contacts the
frame upper tube.
Bring the adjusting grub screw (11) on
the left side in contact with the end
stop on steering head.
Apply threadlocker to the nut thread
(12).
Hold the grub screw (11) steady and
lock the nut (12).
Turn the fork assembly to the other
side. Adjust the other dowel as
described above and then tighten the
nut.
