Warning – risk of chemical burns!
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause
burns and poisoning if they come into
contact with the skin.
• Wear suitable protective gloves.
• Dispose of leaking batteries properly.
• Clean the battery compartment with a
dry cloth.
• Only use leak-proof batteries or
rechargeable batteries of the same type.
• Never use old and new batteries at the
same time.
Important disposal information
Batteries can contain toxic substances that are harmful
to the environment.
• Dispose of batteries according to the applicable
legal regulations. Never throw batteries away with
normal domestic waste.
Inserting/replacing batteries
1. Disconnect the device from the mains.
2. Turn the device so that you can open the battery
compartment on the back. When doing so, be
careful not to damage the buttons on top of the
device.
3. Remove old batteries if necessary.
4. Four alkaline batteries, type AA/1.5 V are required
for mains-free operation (not included). Ensure the
correct polarity when inserted (see figure).
5. Carefully close the battery compartment cover. The
cover's retaining tabs must engage in the housing.
