DigitalSecurityControlswarrantsthe originalpurchaser that for a period of twelve
monthsfromthe date of purchase, the product shallbe free of defectsin mater-
ialsand workmanship under normaluse. During the warrantyperiod, Digital
SecurityControlsshall, at itsoption, repair or replace anydefective product upon
return of the product to itsfactory, at no charge for labour and materials. Any
replacement and/or repaired partsare warranted for the remainder of the ori-
ginalwarrantyor ninety(90) days, whichever islonger. The originalpurchaser
must promptlynotifyDigitalSecurityControlsin writing that there isdefect in mater-
ialor workmanship, such written notice to be received in alleventsprior to expir-
ation of the warrantyperiod. There isabsolutelyno warrantyon software and all
software productsare sold asa user license under the termsof the software
license agreement included with the product. The Customer assumesallrespons-
ibilityfor the proper selection, installation, operation and maintenance of any
productspurchased fromDSC. Customproductsare onlywarranted to the
extent that theydo not function upon delivery. In such cases, DSC can replace or
credit at itsoption.

International Warranty

The warrantyfor internationalcustomersisthe same asfor anycustomer within
Canada and the United States, with the exception that DigitalSecurityControls
shallnot be responsible for anycustomsfees, taxes, or VAT that maybe due.

Warranty Procedure

To obtain service under thiswarranty, please return the item(s) in question to the
point of purchase. Allauthorized distributorsand dealershave a warrantypro-
gram. Anyone returning goodsto DigitalSecurityControlsmust first obtain an
authorization number. DigitalSecurityControlswillnot accept anyshipment what-
soever for which prior authorization hasnot been obtained.

Conditions to Void Warranty

Thiswarrantyappliesonlyto defectsin partsand workmanship relating to normal
use. It doesnot cover:

l

damage incurred in shipping or handling;

l

damage caused bydisaster such asfire, flood, wind, earthquake or light-
ning;

l

damage due to causesbeyond the controlof DigitalSecurityControlssuch
asexcessive voltage, mechanicalshockor water damage;

l

damage caused byunauthorized attachment, alterations, modificationsor
foreign objects;

l

damage caused byperipherals(unlesssuch peripheralswere supplied by
DigitalSecurityControls);

l

defectscaused byfailure to provide a suitable installation environment for
the products;

l

damage caused byuse of the productsfor purposesother than those for
which it wasdesigned;

l

damage fromimproper maintenance;

l

damage arising out of anyother abuse, mishandling or improper application
of the products.
