Drumport Auto Stomp Player MKII

Congratulations and thank you for

choosing a Drumport StompTech

product!

Drumport applies the highest

standards to its products. All

Drumport products are subjected to

our strict quality control before

delivery.

The Auto Stomp Player is a human-controlled drum computer. The selected
rhythm follows the speed fluctuations automatically.
Drumport StompTech’s Stomp Kick Basic or Laser Stomp are recommended as
triggers. Stomp boxes from other manufacturers can also be used, thus
expanding their area of application.

Connect

The connections are marked on the top of the device. A trigger is connected
to the connector marked "IN" using a 6.3 mm jack cable. Another 6.3mm jack
cable connects the "OUT" output to a suitable amplifier, mixer, etc.
Both the included adapter with a connected 9V battery and a 9Volt, 1A power
supply can be used as the power source. Here it is essential to pay attention to
the polarity (+ outside / - inside)!

Set sensitivity

After the Auto Stomp Player is connected, the sensitivity should first be
adjusted to the trigger used and the style of play. This is done via the "SENS"
rotary control (right). A setting that is too high could lead to double triggers, a
setting that is too low could lead to dropouts.

Function modes

The Auto Stomp Player has three function modes: 1/4, 1/2 and Auto.

1/4

 - here quarter notes are played continuously with the foot, 4/4 beats

1-2-3-4, with selected 3/4 rhythm (positions 6 and 12) 1-2-3. The Auto Stomp
Player starts the selected beat immediately and adapts to the speed of the
player.

1/2

 - This mode is intended for fast tempos. First, tap the desired speed with

your foot. At 4/4 beats with four beats, at 3/4 beats with three beats. With the
fifth beat (4/4 beats) or the fourth beat (3/4 beats) the Auto Stomp Player starts
with the rhythm. Afterwards you only play on 1 and 3 (4/4 beats) with your
foot, with 3/4 beats only on 1. Even in this mode the Auto Stomp Player adapts
to the timing of the player. However, good timing or some practice is a
requirement. The time between beats is longer.

Attention!

The specified speed is also changed when changing e.g. keep

from rhythm 1 to 3. To delete the saved tempo, briefly set the toggle switch to
the "AUTO" position and then select the "1/2" position again. Another speed
can now be entered.

Auto

 - In this position, 4 beats at 4/4 beats or 3 beats at 3/4 beats are

specified for the desired tempo. From the fifth or fourth beat, the Auto Stomp
Player starts to play the selected rhythm automatically. This function is ended
by a further hit on the trigger.
