Automated Scanning Results: What You See
The objective of the J-Mini instrument is to detect CVD or HTHP diamonds and identify them to the operator.
Whether they are loose diamonds or mounted into jewelry, the results of J-Mini scanning are displayed
in a similar manner. The intelligent, automated software that has been developed by DRC draws a
colored box around detected laboratory grown diamonds. While this system is highly accurate, it is now
possible to achieve a heightened level of accuracy by means of additional examination of light
performance features for the operator to examine.

These boxes will surround each diamond that is detected as laboratory grown so that identification is
accomplished more easily and rapidly. When scanning small stones that are closely grouped, it is possible
that a single box may surround more than one stone.
