For your safety
Follow the instructions for use
Any use of the equipment requires a detailed knowledge of and
compliance with these instructions. The equipment is intended
only for the use described in the chapter Intended use below.
Maintenance
The equipment must be inspected and serviced regularly by
specialists. Only trained and competent personnel are
permitted to inspect, repair and service the equipment. Dräger
recommends that a service contract be obtained with Dräger
for maintenance measures and that all repairs also be carried
out by Dräger. Use only original Dräger parts for maintenance
work. Observe chapter "Maintenance" on page 36.
Do not operate in potentially explosive areas
The Dräger RVP 5000 is not authorised for use in potentially
explosive areas.
Safety symbols in these operating instructions
These operating instructions refer to a series of warnings
concerning some risks and dangers that could occur when
using the equipment. These warnings contain "signal words"
that draw your attention to the expected degree of danger.
These signal words and the associated dangers are as follows:
DANGER
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in physical injury, or damage to
the product or environment.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
NOTICE
Indicates additional information on how to use the
device.
