Operation for maintenance
To change from standby mode to operation for maintenance, it is
necessary to enter a password (display: "PW"). This password cannot
be changed and is "CCC".
In operation for maintenance, the measured
value currently being output by the gas
transmitter is shown on the three-digit display.
The measuring unit configured in the gas
transmitter is given on the right-hand side of
the display by a 2x2 or 2x3 dot matrix point.
The displayed measured value is – depending on the configured
measuring unit and value – shown in the following formats:

NOTICE
The remote access box internally converts measured values
transmitted in the measuring unit ppm from
≥ 1000 to the % vol.

If the measured values calculated by the gas transmitter are outside
its configured measuring range, there will not be any measured value
on the remote access box and instead the status information
"full-scale deflection exceeded" (over-range) or "deviation below
zero-point" (under-range) will be transmitted. An over-range is shown
on the remote access box display as "

Calibration and configuration
If the remote access box is in the calibration or configuration menu,
the displays are shown in accordance with the overview given below
(page 31 and 32).
Information
Pressing the ▲ key for a duration of more than one second and less
than three seconds can be used to access the "lamp test" described
below manually.
Pressing the
▲ key for a duration of more than three seconds,
the software version of the remote access box is shown in the
format "Vx.x".
Faults and special conditions
Fault conditions of the remote access box are indicated via a flashing
display of the current fault code (E00 to E12).
Details can be found in the "Fault - Cause - Remedy" chapter on
page 38.
1) No measuring range is defined for the gas transmitter if it is being operated in
HART
®
-Multidrop mode.
2) All concentrations that correspond to a current output signal from the gas transmitter of
≤ 3,8 mA will be interpreted by the remote access box as a measuring range
undershoot. (The gas transmitter may also have a malfunction.)
