Reprocessing Fabius family
Preparing the inspiratory valve and the
expiratory valve
Inspiratory valve:
1
Remove the valve cover plug (A) or the O

sensor from the dome (C) of the inspiratory
valve.

Screw off the union nut (B).

Remove the dome (C).
4
Take out the valve plate (D). The sealing ring
(E) remains on the valve crater.
5
Refit the dome (C) and screw on the union nut
(B).
Expiratory valve:

Screw off the union nut (F).
7
Remove the sight glass (G).
8
Take out the valve plate (H). The sealing ring (I)
remains on the valve crater.
9
Refit the sight glass (G) and screw on the union
nut (F).
Removing the APL valve
1
Loosen the knurled nut (A).

Remove the valve.

WARNING
Risk of damage to the compact breathing sys-
tem
If the APL valve is not disassembled before
the compact breathing system is reprocessed,
this can lead to leakages in the compact
breathing system.
Always remove the APL valve prior to repro-
cessing.
