Ending operation
●
Press the release key.
— Both LEDs flash green shortly and then red, accompanied by a
short signal tone.
— The pump is switched off.
●
Remove gas measuring device from the pump.
Observe the following during measuring mode with pump
●
The required waiting time when flushing the hose probe:
Before every measurement, flush the Dräger sampling hose or the
Dräger probes with the air sample to be measured.
— A flushing phase is necessary to eliminate or minimize all effects
associated with the use of a sampling hose or a probe, e.g. mem-
ory effect, dead volume.
— The duration of the flushing phase depends on factors such as
e.g. type and concentration of the gas or vapor to be measured,
material, length, diameter, and age of the sampling hose or probe.
Generally, when using a sampling hose (brand new, dry, clean), a
typical flushing time of approx. 3 seconds is required for each me-
ter. This flushing time applies in addition to the sensor response
time (see the Instructions for Use of the used gas measuring de-
vice).
Example:
— In the case of a sampling hose with a length of 10 m, the flushing
time is approx. 30 seconds and the sensor response time is in ad-
dition approx. 60 seconds. Therefore, the total time before read-
ing the gas measuring device is approx. 90 seconds.
— The flow rate alarm is delayed by 10 to 30 seconds depending on
the length of the hose.

See “Commissioning” on page 4.
Changing the Filter
●
Unscrew the filter in a counterclockwise direction.
●
Unscrew the connecting bush from the filter.
●
Screw the connecting bush onto the new filter.
●
Screw the filter in a clockwise rotation onto the device.
Storing the Pump
●
Store the pump in a clean and dry place.
— It is recommended to store the pump separately from the gas
measuring device to ensure the flexible seal of the pump retains
its shape and sealing force.
In the case of long storage periods:
●
Remove batteries from the pump if the pump is not used for more
than 6 months. This avoids damage to the pump caused by leak-
ing batteries.
Disposing of the Device
EU-wide regulations for the disposal of electric and electronic
appliances which have been defined in the EU Directive
