Current
2.3.1
Nominal current
The nominal allowable current of the motor is stated
on the motor plate. This shows the nominal working
range of the motor and can be used to protect the
motor.
Measuring the actual current of the pump during
operation can be used to pre-set the motor protection
switch to protect the pump/motor combination.
This current value can also be used to determine the
proper electrical equipment such as variable
frequency drive, main switch, wiring diameter etc.
WARNING
Not only the motor, but also the pump
has to be protected in its application.

Motor protection
Standard single phase motors are delivered including
motor protection. The motor protection is provided
either by a thermal circuit breaker or by a motor
winding protection.
Please contact your supplier for more detailed
information about your motor protection.
