Section 7 Sensor Setup
7.1 On/Off
1. Enter the sensor's
Id number
(e.g. 1, 2, 3 etc.).
2. Select a
sensor type:
l
Internal on/off: Exd sensors that are connected to the CN10 connector of LX4 console.
l
MagLink I/O: I.S sensors that are connected to the I/O module.
l
Disconnected: The sensor is not connected.
3. Enter a
Name
for the sensor (up to 30 characters).
4. Alarm status: Select the method that will cause an alarm:
l
Open: For normally open sensors, the alarm is caused when the sensor contact closes.
l
Closed: For normally closed sensors, the alarm is caused when the sensor contact opens.
l
For Disconnected sensors: This applies to sensors that are connected through the I/O module. The
alarm is caused when the communication of the LX4 with the I/O is stopped.
5. Relay: Select if a relay must be started when an alarm is caused.
6. Click
Save
when you complete the
Sensor
configuration.
The Sensor Status is shown at the bottom of the screen.
Status Icon:
Green
: No alarm
Yellow
: Alarm is active and it has been acknowledged
Red
: Alarm is active and it has not been acknowledged
Use the
Edit
button to make changes to the sensor configuration.
The
Delete
button will erase the sensor configuration from the system.
