04 | FIRST COMMISSIONING
04.1 CHARGING THE BUILT-IN LI-ION BATTERIES
Before first use of the work light, please fully charge the built-in Li-Ion batteries with
the supplied power adapter:
Flip open the rubber cover (2). The socket for power adaptor (3) is located underneath the
rubber cover. Connect the power adaptor with the socket (3) and with an electrical outlet.
While charging, the LEDs of charging and capacity indicator (5) are flashing blue. After
approx. 5 hours the Li-Ion batteries of work light and auxiliary light are fully charged and
all 4 LEDs of the charging and capacity indicator (5) light up blue constantly. Remove the
power adaptor and close the rubber cover (2).
CAUTION
Never leave the light unattended while charging the battery. After charging, disconnect the
light from power supply. Only charge with the supplied power adapter.
04.2 LED CHARGING AND CAPACITY INDICATOR
By a slight pressure on the main switch (4), the LEDs of the charging and capacity
indicator (5) light up and indicate the remaining energy as follows:
1 blue LED
25%
2 blue LEDs
50%
3 blue LEDs
75%
4 blue LEDs
100%
NOTE
If needed, the light can be operated with the supplied power adapter.
05 | OPERATION
05.1 SWITCHING ON/OFF, ADJUSTING THE BRIGHTNESS (WORK LIGHT)
•
To
switch
on the light and for
100% brightness
, press the main switch (4) fully down
until it clicks.
•
To
switch off
the light, also press the main switch (4) fully down until it clicks.
•
For
30% brightness
, gently press the main switch (4) once only (LEDs will flash
once/100% brightness) and then press it fully down a second time until it clicks
(= 30% brightness).
05.2 ZUSATZLICHT
•
In order to remove the auxiliary light (7), press the release button (8) and slide the
auxiliary light out to the back.
•
In order to fix the auxiliary light to the work light, place the guide rails (12) over the slots
of work light (13). Then slide the auxiliary light with the contacts (11) facing to the front
into the contacts (6) until the auxiliary light clicks into place.
•
Press the On/Off button (9) to
switch on
the auxiliary light and for
100% brightness
.
•
For
30% brightness
press the On/Off button (9) a second time.
•
To
switch off
the auxiliary light, press the On/Off button (9) a third time.
•
With the magnets (10) the auxiliary light can be fixed on any magnetic surfaces.
After use please turn off the light at the main switch (4).
06 | MOUNTING
The Vario XL-130 work light can be clamped e.g. underneath the engine bonnet or the
boot lid:
The rubberized, 360 ° rotatable clamps are extendable from 1.27 to 1.67 m.
07 | CLEANING AND STORAGE
Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the device. We recommend a
soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device.
Make sure to
take off the device from power before cleaning!
Store the device in a dust-free, dry and
cool place. This device is not a toy – keep it out of reach of children. Keep away from pets.
