6.2 Checks

Perform the following checks:
Power supply is connected Ä 5.3.4 “Connecting
the power supply”.
See that all the hoses and lines laid are not
buckled.
Check hoses and cables for damage.
The control system is grounded
Ä 5.3.1
“Ground the control system”.
Application devices are linked with the control
system Ä 5.3.2 “Connect application devices”.
Press [Off] illuminated push button on the oper-
ator panel.
The illuminated push button switches off the
compressed air diverted outwards. The nominal
value of the proportional valve is set to 0. The
proportional valve vents.

cations Ä 11.3 “Operating conditions”.
Performance values correspond to the specifi-

7 Operation
7.1 Safety recommendations
DANGER!
Danger due to electrical voltage
When the supply voltage is switched off, there is
electrical voltage present on components and
lines. Live components are wired with orange
lines. There is the danger of electrical shock on
contact with live components, which can cause
death.
– Before carrying out any work, disconnect
electrical supply.
– Check components in the control system to
verify that no current is present.
– Only qualified electrical technicians are
allowed to work on control system, electrical
lines and components.
WARNING!
Inadequate grounding
Incorrect grounding of the control system will
cause an electrostatic charge to collect on the
components. Electrostatic charges can trigger
fires, current flashovers and EMC faults. Serious
injuries or death can be the consequence.
– Check grounding.
Observe maintenance intervals Ä 9.3.1
“Maintenance schedule”.
WARNING!
Risk of injury from whipping hoses
If hoses under pressure come off loose, the
hoses can lash around and cause injuries.
– Check that the hose connections are seated
tightly.
– Check hoses for damage.
– Before carrying out any work:
Depressurize hoses.
