"SOS Setting" menu if you want to use it. In the SOS Set-
ting , p. 41, you can find information on how to acti-
vate this function and enter the contacts in the number list
and edit the emergency call SMS.
• Press the emergency call button on the back of the
telephone and hold it down for three seconds. A loud
signal will sound. The seconds are counted down on
the display (delay time). During this time, you can pre-
vent potential false alarms by pressing or Abort .
• The telephone then sends an SMS text message to all
telephone numbers in the emergency call list if the
emergency SMS is activated in the SOS settings.
• The telephone then dials the first telephone number in
the list. If the call is not accepted within 25 seconds,
the next number is dialed. The emergency call
sequence is repeated three times or until the call is
accepted or until is pressed.
• The emergency call function is configured so the reci-
pient has to press
0
("zero" button on his/her tele-
phone) to confirm the emergency call and to deacti-
vate the emergency call routine. Thus there is no risk
that the emergency call sequence will be prematurely
ended by an answering machine or service in the cel-
