Security settings
PIN lock
You can select whether or not the SIM card PIN
should be required when turning the phone on. Seve-
ral SIM card providers do not allow the PIN query to
be shut off.
1. Press
Menu
, scroll to
Settings
and press
OK
.
2. Select
Security
and press
OK
.
3. Select
PIN lock
and press
On
or
Off
.
4. Enter the PIN for your SIM card and press
OK
.
5. The following message will inform you whether the
PIN entry is necessary (
Locked
) or not necessary
(
Unlocked
).
Change PIN
You can change the PIN for your SIM card. For this
you will have to enter the PIN2 (PUK), which you
received with the documentation of your SIM card.
1. Press

Settings
and press
OK
.
2. Select
Security
and press
OK
.
3. Select
Change PIN
and press
OK
.
4. Enter the PIN2 (PUK) for your SIM card and press
OK
.
5. Follow the instructions on the display.
