The ‘Conditional Prefix Settings’ can contain up to 7 occurrences of the
‘Replace dial string’ and ‘by dial string’ fields. Those fields must contain only

When the user dials a number, the GW7001 checks if the number prefix
matches the content of the ‘Replace dial string’ fields.

If it matches the content of a ‘Replace dial string’ field, the GW7001 dials a
number where the prefix has been replaced by the content of the ‘by dial string’
field.
For example in a configuration where the ‘Replace dial string’ and ‘by dial
string’ of the first rule contain the ‘0’ and ‘0033’ values, if the user dials
‘0144540550’, the GW7001 will try to establish the call with ‘0033144540550’.
9.1.3. Port Prefix String

The ‘Port 0 Prefix Setting’ incorporates the ‘Port Prefix’ and ‘Truncation
Length’ fields. Those fields must contain only digits and are specific to one port
o� t�e G�7001.
The ‘Truncation Length’ field sets the number of digits to remove from the
prefix of the number dialled via a telephone connected to the corresponding
port. For example, if the ‘Truncation Length’ field contains the value ‘1’ and you
dial ‘0144540550’, the GW7001 will try to establish the call with ‘144540550’
The content of the ‘Port Prefix’ field will be added at the beginning of
�n� n���e� ������e�� ��� � te�e��one connecte�� to t�e co��e��on���n�� �o�t.
For example, if the ‘Port Prefix’ field contains the value ‘33’ and you dial
‘0144540550’, the GW7001 will try to establish the call with ‘33144540590’.
