SOFFIT

Using a wrench rotate the door closer bottom shaft, about

30° towards the hinges, insert main arm on top shaft and

secure arm on shaft with supplied screw

1/2”

13 mm

Door closer and arm must be parallel during the door

opening range. Misalignment will cause strain and

bending on the arm and door closer and will affect the

door closer smooth operation. Position door closer at

the appropriate position, verify its levelness and

secure on door using the appropriate supplied screws.

Orientate arm plate and position under the frame stop face soffit

surface at the specified orientation and distances and secure plate on

frame stop face soffit using the appropriate supplied screws (5x).

Before drilling mounting holes on the frame, ensure

that the arm is properly oriented, as instructed

in step 2.

Use extra mounting screw for additional

support.  Use spacer (if required)

2.  The mechanical hold open devices MUST NOT BE INSTALLED on fire/smoke door assemblies.

3.  The door closer should NOT BE OPENED beyond its maximum opening angle of the power size selected.

4. This door closer contains a powerful spring which is installed into the body at high pressure.

Under no circumstances should anyone attempt to dismantle the door closer

Rotate arm on door closer until the elbow is

about 1/2” (13 mm) from the door surface.

SPACER
