4.4 Outlook E-mail
You can use a Microsoft Offi ce Outlook® e-mail account or remote
Exchange Server® account to send and receive e-mail via an
ActiveSync® sync connection. E-mails will be sent/received
simultaneously when synchronizing between the phone and a computer
or Exchange Server®.
When your 838 Pro is confi gured to sync via the “e-mail” option with an
Exchange Server®, you can specify a sync setting of “when item arrives”
in the ActiveSync® scheduler to activate the Direct Push function. For
confi guration of ActiveSync®, please refer to descriptions in Chapter 6.
You ca draft e-mail to contacts. You can also append fi les on the phone
to the message. You can also browse received e-mail and fi les appended
to e-mails. Read and unread e-mail messages are indicated by the
following icons:
: Read mail, with appended fi les
: Unread mail, with appended fi les
When replying to the sender, the recipient and the original message will
be induded automatically.
