4.5 POP3 / IMAP4 Account

When the phone is connected to the Internet, you can connect to a 

remote POP3/IMAP4 mail server to send/receive e-mail messages. You 

must have an account password for the remote mail server and obtain 

the appropriate confi guration information from the server administrator. 

POP3/IMAP4 mail editing, replying, and forwarding methods are the 

same as for Outlook mails.  Please refer to section 4.4 Drafting and 

Sending E-mail Messages. 

4.5.1 Add a New POP3/IMAP Mail Account

Set up POP3 / IMAP4 mail server account, password, and server 

information. When you download e-mail from a POP3 or IMAP4 account, 

the mail is retained on the server.  When you confi gure a POP3 / IMAP4 

mail account, you can specify to only download a limited number of days 

worth of e-mail, and expired mail will be removed from your device. If you 

manually delete mail from a POP3/IMAP4 account, mail on the server 

will also be deleted.
