This manual is the property of the owner. Donaldson Company reserves the right to change design and specifications without prior notice. Do not make any
system modifications or adjustments that would alter the original design. Modifications may result in denial of warranty coverage. Consult your Donaldson
dealer if you have questions regarding the assembly, operation, maintenance or warranty. Illustrations are for reference only as actual product may vary.
The filter in this kit is manufactured with water absorbing media
designed to filter particles 10um (micron) @ b200, providing you with
added protection against particulate and water contamination in
your fuel.
To reduce the stress on the tank pipework, we recommend using a
mounting bracket to support the filter assembly. Mounting bracket
(P506158) is an offset design to allow for either Left or Right hand
side mounting, with the bracket leg in either up or down orientation,
whichever works best for your installation. The offset allows
clearance for the pressure gauge.
Filter Assembly
The filter assembly should be installed on the outlet of your fuel storage.
If you are using a fuel delivery pump, it should be fitted on the downstream, or pressure side, of the pump.
Ensure all connections are leak free.
Donaldson filter head assembly P576565 has 4 x 1/8”
NPT gauge ports. The gauge should be installed into the
upstream port on either left or right hand side of the head.
We recommend the use of fuel resistant thread sealant
on the gauge thread.
Filter Head Assembly
Head Assembly Step 1
Using a correctly sized tool, undo the port plug in the selected side port by rotating
in an anti-clockwise direction.
Head Assembly Step 2
Screw the gauge firmly into the gauge port. Gently tighten with a correctly sized
spanner until the gauge is correctly oriented for viewing. Do not over-tighten.
