Observe the following instructions when connect-
ing the battery control booster:
• Select the appropriate connection variant.
Legend
• Always connect the battery control booster
before connecting the batteries.
• Do not use ferrules. Strip the cable ends as fol-
lows:
– Signal cable 9 mm (0.75 – 1.5 mm²)
– Charging cable 12 mm

Connection variant for vehicles that are to be
equipped with a house battery and charging
device.
• The maximum charging current while driving is
25 A.
• When connected to the mains, the current for
charging the house battery and trickle charging
the starting battery is limited to 1 A.

Connection variant for vehicles with a cutoff relay
present.
• If connected consumers draw a higher current
than 25 A from the house battery (e.g. air-condi-
tioning operation while driving) the cutoff relay
remains closed to enable charging currents
higher than 25 A. After falling below this current,
the relay is opened.
• For LiFePO4 batteries: The cutoff relay remains
opened if the temperature reaches <0 °C or
>50 °C.
• When connected to the mains, the current for
charging the house battery and trickle charging
the starting battery is limited to 1 A.

NOTE
For Dometic Büttner LiFePO4 batteries:
To ensure measuring the internal tem-
perature of the LiFePO4 battery use the
temperature sensor connector to
connect the probe of the temperature
sensor to the negative terminal of the
house battery.
