Double click “FOMAinst.exe” in opened
folder.

Depending on the personal computer you use, the display to
confirm the user account control might appear. In this case, click
“
許可 (Accept)” and continue the operation.

Read “ ソフトウェア使用許諾契約書 (Software
licensing contract)”, and click “ 同意する
(Agree)”.

Turn on the power to the FOMA phone, then
connect the FOMA USB Cable with Charge
Function 01/02, which is already connected to
the FOMA phone, to the personal computer.
Installation starts.
Pop-up message “
新しいハードウェアが見つかりました
(New
hardware was found)” appears for a few seconds from the indicator
of the task bar.
After you complete the installation, pop-up message “
デバイスを使
用する準備ができました。デバイス ドライバ ソフトウェアが正し
くインストールされました。
(The system is ready to use the device.
The device driver software was installed correctly.)” appears for a
few seconds from the indicator of the task bar.

Click “ インストールする（推奨） [Installing
(recommended)]”.
Then install the FOMA byte counter.
Install by following the onscreen instructions.

When you do not install the FOMA byte counter, go to step 9.

Click “ 完了 (Complete)”.
Confirm that the “FOMA communication setup files”
(driver) are installed correctly.

Click “ 続行 (Continue)”.

Click each device, then confirm the installed
driver names.
Confirm that all driver names are displayed under “

(COM

LPT) [Port (COM/LPT)]”, “ モデム (Modem)”, and “ ユニバーサル シリ
アル バス コントローラ (Universal serial bus controller)”.
※ The COM port number varies depending on the personal computer you
use.
Next, confirm that the “FOMA communication setup files” (driver) are
installed correctly. (See page 30)
