Using the light
When you are shooting in situations where there is insufficient natural light, such as indoors, you can use the FOMA
terminal’s light to make the subject brighter.
● If you turn on the light and do not take any pictures for around 30 seconds, the light automatically turns off.

Using the Auto timer
Setting the Auto timer allows you to shoot images without having to hold the FOMA terminal.
● The Auto timer can be used to shoot both still images and movies.
● Once you have taken the shot, the Auto timer setting reverts to “OFF” and has to be set again each time it is used.

Enter the Auto timer
delay (2 digits).
Enter a 2-digit number between “01” and “15” as the Auto timer delay.
Once you enter a 2-digit number, the Auto timer is automatically set. To set the time shown,
simply press
d
.
The default Auto timer delay is 10 seconds.
● When you set the Auto timer
The icon appears on the display to show that the Auto timer is set.
When you press
d
or
s
( ), the FOMA terminal emits the Auto timer startup tone
and the timer starts running.
The call alert indicator, the
o
and
p
keys and the icon flash.
Roughly 5 seconds before the shot will be taken, the countdown tone sounds and the call
alert indicator and the
o
and
p
keys start flashing rapidly.
You can also take the shot manually while the Auto timer is running by pressing
d
or
s
( ).

To cancel the Auto timer setting
In the Photo Mode/Movie Mode display function menu, press

To stop the timer while it is running

Note
● The zoom is set to “1x” when the Camera function starts up and reverts to “1x” when you change camera modes and image size. However, the
zoom setting is retained when changing to the same image size and camera mode.
● The image quality may change slightly when you adjust the zoom.
Note
● You cannot turn on the light when shooting a movie with sound only.
